Feroot Security is seeking a talented Website Developer to join our marketing team and elevate our digital presence. In this role, you will take ownership of updating, managing, and optimizing Feroot’s marketing website (feroot.com) and other public-facing web assets. Job Description

As the Website Developer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Feroot’s WordPress-based marketing website and other web assets. You will collaborate closely with marketing, design, and content teams to deliver a seamless, user-friendly, and visually compelling online experience that aligns with our brand and drives lead generation. Leveraging your expertise in WordPress, front-end development, and web optimization, you will ensure our web properties are secure, responsive, and optimized for performance and SEO.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Development and Management

  • Maintain and update Feroot’s WordPress-based marketing website (feroot.com), ensuring functionality, performance, and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Develop and implement new web pages, landing pages, and features to support marketing campaigns, product launches, and lead generation initiatives.
  • Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific design and functional requirements, ensuring a cohesive user experience.
  • Ensure all web assets are responsive, cross-browser compatible, and optimized for mobile and desktop users.

Web Optimization and Security

  • Optimize website performance, including page load times, SEO, and user experience, using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights, Yoast SEO, and other analytics platforms.
  • Implement and maintain website security best practices, including secure hosting configurations, SSL certificates, and WordPress security plugins, to align with Feroot’s cybersecurity focus.
  • Conduct regular audits and updates to ensure compliance with web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Evaluate, install, and configure WordPress plugins to enhance website functionality, such as forms, analytics, and security.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing and content teams to translate campaign goals into engaging web experiences, including landing pages, forms, and CTAs.
  • Collaborate with design teams to implement visually appealing, brand-consistent web assets using custom CSS, HTML, and JavaScript as needed.
  • Work with demand generation and product marketing teams to integrate web assets with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, SFDC) and marketing automation tools.
  • Manage and update website content within WordPress, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with marketing strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress, plugins, or hosting environments.

Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • Track and analyze website performance metrics, including traffic, bounce rates, and conversion rates, using tools like Google Analytics and HubSpot.
  • Provide regular reports on website performance, user behavior, and SEO rankings, offering actionable insights to improve engagement and lead generation.
  • Conduct A/B testing on web pages and landing pages to optimize user experience and conversion rates.

Required Experience/Skills

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Website Developer with a passion for creating exceptional web experiences and a strong understanding of WordPress development, who is:

  • Proven track record of developing and managing WordPress-based websites, with a focus on marketing or B2B environments.
  • 3+ years of experience in web development, preferably in a B2B tech, cybersecurity, or SaaS environment.
  • Proficiency in WordPress development, including theme customization, plugin management, and custom post types.
  • Strong front-end development skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with web optimization tools (e.g., Google PageSpeed Insights, Yoast SEO) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot).
  • Familiarity with website security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, WCAG).
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work from our downtown Toronto office full-time and travel internationally (U.S., Europe, APAC) if required for team meetings or events.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours during peak project periods.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years in web development, ideally in B2B tech, cybersecurity, or SaaS.
  • Expertise in WordPress development and management, including themes, plugins, and customizations.
  • Strong understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and responsive design.
  • Experience optimizing websites for performance, SEO, and user engagement.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, SFDC, etc.).
  • Data-driven, creative, proactive, and organized.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for team meetings or events (U.S., Europe, APAC).

Bonus Points

  • Experience developing websites for GRC, cybersecurity, or compliance-focused companies.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like PCI DSS, HIPAA, or GDPR.
  • Graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for creating web-ready assets.
  • Knowledge of AI/Gen-AI tools for content or web optimization (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper).
  • Experience with PHP and MySQL for advanced WordPress customizations.
