Role Overview

Feroot is looking for a Lead Sales Engineer (SE) to join our growing team in the US. The role is an integral part of the sales organization and assists the sales team with pre-sales technical knowledge, effective product demonstrations and leads customer POC’s converting prospects to customers.. This entails working closely with account executives, prospects, customers, and partners as a subject-matter expert to demonstrate how Feroot can deliver value and solve client-side security challenges.What You’ll Do

As a key part of the sales and customer success team, you will be the technical expert on Feroot solutions while ensuring we continuously drive value at every step of the customer journey. Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Partner with the Account Executives in your region to develop and execute a sales strategy
  • Perform discovery sessions identifying customer needs, pain points, and existing security stack(s)
  • Conduct product demonstrations using data points and customer stories
  • Plan, execute, and manage proof of concepts
  • Partner with the customer success team to ensure smooth transition of new customers during onboarding and support existing customers
  • Execute post-sales activities with new and existing customers to ensure operational needs are being met while minimizing noise within customer environments
  • Attend industry events to meet with prospects, customers, and support marketing activities (as required)
  • Partner with the product team to ensure continuous customer feedback and suggestions are incorporated into product planning and releases

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of web security technologies and products including: CSP, WAF, CDNs, APIs, and similar.
  • Ability to analyze HTTP requests, REST APIs, and other web interactions
  • Proficient using Chrome DevTools for analyzing, troubleshooting, and replicating issues
  • Ability to read and update HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.
  • Experience with Content Security Policies (CSP) and knowledge of the DOM structure, CSS/XPath selectors
  • Experience with internet technologies: HTTP(S), SSL/TLS, DNS, TCP
  • Experience with the SDLC, code deployments, and the concept of “shift left”
  • Experience with Node / JavaScript / TypeScript in both front-end and back-end
  • Understanding of and some experience developing web applications
  • Knowledge of and some experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB and ElasticSearch)

 Brownie Points

  • If you have a side project or have built something on the web from scratch
  • Experience selling to large scale enterprises
  • Exposure to DevOps best practices and principles
  • Experience with industry frameworks and regulations (e.g. PCI, HIPAA, GDPR, NIST..)
