This critical role will drive growth by developing and executing SEO-and GEO-driven content strategies that enhance brand visibility and generate high-quality leads. As a vital member of our fast-growing startup, you’ll work at the intersection of cybersecurity, compliance, and AI-first automation, leveraging data-driven insights to position Feroot as a leader in the B2B tech space.
Job Description
As the GEO/SEO Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and promoting content that boosts Feroot’s search engine rankings and appearance in LLM answers and drives organic traffic to our marketing website (feroot.com) and other digital assets. You will collaborate with product marketing, demand generation, and web development teams to produce engaging, keyword-optimized content that resonates with our B2B audience. Your expertise in SEO best practices, content strategy, and analytics will be key to increasing Feroot’s online discoverability and supporting pipeline growth. You have an understanding of the emerging field of GEO and will strive to achieve source placement in key LLMs.
Key Responsibilities:
GEO/SEO Strategy and Content Creation
- Develop and execute a comprehensive GEO/SEO content strategy to improve organic search rankings, drive traffic, and generate leads for Feroot’s marketing website and digital assets.
- Create high-quality, keyword-optimized content, including blog posts, articles, landing pages, whitepapers, and case studies, tailored to B2B audiences in cybersecurity, GRC, and compliance.
- Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis using tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Google Keyword Planner to identify high-impact opportunities and content gaps.
- Optimize on-page elements (e.g., meta tags, headers, alt text), schema markup and content structure to align with SEO best practices and improve user experience.
Content Optimization and Performance
- Monitor and analyze content performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and HubSpot to track metrics such as organic traffic, bounce rates, and conversions.
- Conduct A/B testing and content audits to optimize existing content for better search visibility and engagement.
- Ensure content complies with web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) to maintain a secure and inclusive user experience.
- Collaborate with the web development team to improve site performance, including page load times and mobile responsiveness, using tools like Google PageSpeed Insights.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product marketing and other teams to align content with product positioning, go-to-market strategies, and key messaging for cybersecurity and compliance solutions.
- Work with demand generation to integrate content into multi-channel campaigns, supporting lead generation and nurturing efforts.
- Collaborate with the web development and design teams to ensure content is visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimized for SEO on Feroot’s WordPress-based website.
- Coordinate with field marketing to create content that supports webinars, events, and in-person engagements, driving both online and offline engagement.
Market Research and Audience Insights
- Conduct research to understand customer pain points, search behaviors, and industry trends in cybersecurity, GRC, and SaaS markets.
- Develop content that addresses the needs of specific buyer personas, such as IT professionals, compliance officers, and C-suite executives.
- Stay updated on SEO algorithm changes, industry trends, burgeoning GEO best practices, and competitive positioning to ensure content remains relevant and effective.
Brand Voice and Content Promotion
- Maintain Feroot’s brand voice across all content, ensuring consistency, professionalism, and alignment with our mission to make the web safer.
- Promote content through organic channels, such as social media (LinkedIn, X), email newsletters, and industry forums, to increase reach and engagement.
- Build and manage backlink strategies, including guest posting and partnerships, to enhance domain authority and search rankings.
Required Experience/Skills
We’re looking for a strategic, data-driven GEO/SEO Marketing Manager with a passion for content creation and a strong understanding of B2B marketing processes, who is:
- Proven track record of developing and executing SEO content strategies that drive organic traffic and lead generation.
- Understanding of and appreciation for the emerging field of GEO
- 3+ years of experience in SEO, content marketing, or digital marketing roles, preferably in B2B tech, cybersecurity, or SaaS.
- Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Yoast SEO, Google Analytics, Google Search Console) and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging, keyword-optimized content that resonates with B2B audiences.
- Data-driven mindset, with experience analyzing content performance and translating insights into actionable strategies.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple content projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying GEO/SEO opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for crafting audience-focused content.
- Ability to work from our downtown Toronto office full-time.
- Willingness to work flexible hours during peak campaign or content launch periods.
