Level 3 Communications, Inc. was a telecommunications company that provided fiber optic and other network services to businesses. They were known for their extensive fiber network and focus on providing high-speed, reliable connections. Level 3 was acquired by CenturyLink in 2017 and is now a subsidiary under the name Lumen Technologies. The company`s focus shifted towards providing data center and cloud computing services after the acquisition. While Level 3 itself is no longer an independent entity, Lumen continues to operate many of the services previously offered by Level 3.
