Sales Engineer

    Feroot is looking for a Sales Engineer (SE) to join our growing team in the US. The role is an integral part of the sales organization and assists the sales team with pre-sales technical knowledge, presentations, and engagements. This entails working closely with account executives, prospects, customers, and partners as a subject-matter expert to demonstrate how Feroot can deliver value and solve client-side security challenges.

    What You’ll Do

    As a key part of the sales team, you will be the technical expert on Feroot solutions while ensuring we continuously drive value at every step of the customer journey. Responsibilities for this role include: 

    • Partner with the Account Executives in your region to develop and execute a sales strategy
    • Create content for industry awareness and customer education on the growing client-side security market
    • Perform discovery sessions identifying customer needs, pain points, and existing security stack(s)
    • Conduct product demonstrations using data points and customer stories
    • Plan, execute, and manage proof of concepts
    • Partner with the customer success team to ensure smooth transition of new customers during onboarding and support existing customers (as needed)
    • Partner with the product team to ensure continuous customer feedback and suggestions are incorporated into product planning and releases

    Technical Skills

    • Knowledge of cloud architecture and deployment concepts
    • Understanding of web application architectures and design patterns
    • Experience with internet technologies: HTTP(S), SSL/TLS, DNS, TCP, GRE/IPSEC
    • Experience with the SDLC and code deployments
    • Ability to read HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Exposure to web security products like WAFs, Bot Managers, API Protection, DDoS, etc.
    • Comfortable in Google Chrome Developer tools
    • Ability to analyze HTTP requests, REST APIs, and other web interactions

    Brownie Points

    • If you have a side project or have built something on the web from scratch
    • Experience selling to large scale enterprises
    • Exposure to DevOps best practices and principles
    • Experience with industry frameworks and regulations (e.g. PCI, HIPAA, GDPR)
    • Experience with security logging or SIEM solutions
    • You can translate technical concepts and jargon for a wide variety of audiences
    • Experience with web application attacks and mitigation techniques
